Our story began in Cowdray, West Sussex where we crafted four beautiful self-catering treehouses.
Each treehouse is uniquely designed and dog-friendly, featuring an outdoor bath, wraparound deck, and super-king bed.

TREEHOUSE TOUR
LOCATION
Our treehouses are hidden within an ancient beech woodland at Cowdray, West Sussex. A unique nature playground where you can enjoy various outdoor activities, wellness classes, creative workshops, and country pursuits.
Cowdray is a magnificent location in the heart of the South Downs National Park, just a short drive from London. The woodland setting is carefully preserved, and we offer electric buggies to transport you around.
The treehouses are the epitome of luxury, privacy, and convenience in the centre of a humming country estate. You can easily walk to the famous Polo Lawns, the award-winning Cowdray Farm Shop & Cafe, and the historic town of Midhurst. It’s yours to explore.
ELECTRIC BUGGIES
Our Cowdray location is car-free. Park at our Welcome Suite, where we’ll provide an electric buggy for easy access to each treehouse. They operate on designated routes to protect the heritage landscape.
You can also take a scenic 15-minute walk to the treehouses. Plus there is designated parking for charging electric cars.
Drivers must be over 18 and hold a minimum of a provisional licence

There are four TreeHouse Retreats within our 16-acre private woodland at Cowdray:
Buzzard: at the most northern point of the woodland. Well suited to families with babies, couples and single.
Chukka: enjoys a quintessential Cowdray view across the famous Polo Lawns with the imposing South Downs on the horizon in the distance.
Griffin: this beautiful treehouse offers a kitchen with a large central island suitable for dining, ideal for longer stays and hosting visitors.
Muntjac: A family-oriented treehouse with an indoor bath/shower room.

Our Treehouses at Cowdray offer a generous space for two adults, with a Super King Size double bed.
However, Muntjac, Chukka & Buzzard have 2 single sofa beds.

Each TreeHouse Retreat has one large bedroom with a super-king bed, one bathroom with a walk-in shower, and an outdoor bath on the terrace.
Muntjac has an indoor and outdoor bath.

In your treehouse, you’ll find a fridge, freezer, oven and hob, along with pots, pans, and kitchenware, and cooking essentials like olive oil and salt.
Food and hampers can also be purchased directly from the Cowdray Farm Shop.
We will also be recommending our favourite local spots to eat and drink in our welcome pack, which you will receive pre-arrival.

Parking: our destination is car-free & parking is provided at our Welcome Suite. We provide EV Buggies for accessing the woodland.
Exploring the Estate: there are miles of paths and track & we provide maps & guide books.
Cowdray also offers a huge range of bookable activities & experiences.
Fires & BBQ’s: please do not light any fires or BBQ’s. Our Tree Houses are very cosy, energy efficient & heated with air source heat pumps plus underfloor heating.
We’ve included plenty of cosy blankets for evenings on the terrace.
Laundry: There are no washing machines in the treehouses, should you need a laundry service please contact Charlotte at The Laundry Rooms (01730 810651).

This location is car-free. When you arrive, you’ll park at our Welcome Suite where we’ll greet you and provide you with an electric buggy.
The golf buggies are GPS tracked to protect the area and they only work on a designated route from the welcome suite to the treehouses.
The treehouses are around a 15-minute walk from our Welcome Suite, should you choose not to use a buggy.
Guests must be over 18 Years Old and hold a minimum of a provisional licence. Please drive sensibly. We accept no responsibility for any accidents. Please also note there are only 4 seats with seatbelts.

We welcome well-behaved dogs in our treehouses. Let us know when booking if you are bringing your dog & we’ll provide some treats.
Our woodland is not fully enclosed & other dogs, horses or livestock may be nearby. Please keep your dog under control at all times.
A maximum of two small to mid-size dogs per treehouse, there is a fee of £25 per dog. Please see our T&Cs below for further information.

We will send you a pre guest guide once your reservation is confirmed which includes directions and a map.
Our treehouses are located within the Cowdray Estate. Follow directions to: Cowdray Farm Shop & Cafe, Midhurst, West Sussex, GU29 0AJ.
As you arrive into Cowdray, drive 50 metres and turn left at the Tree House Retreats sign. Go through the gates and bear left up the track to our Welcome Suite.
Arriving by Train: the nearest stations are Petersfield, Pulborough & Haslemere for trains via London and local taxi services are available at these stations.

Check-in is from 3-7pm unless requested otherwise. Later arrivals on request.

This award - winning destination is a 15-20 minute walk across the polo fields. They are open 7 days a week, and you can order online.
The farm shop is open is from 9am-6pm.
The cafe is open from 9.30am-4.30pm (food is served until 3.15pm).
